25 GST Council Meeting was chaired by Union Finance Minister Shri Arun Jaitley today in New Delhi. Many recommendations were made by the council today. These recommendations shall come into effect through notifications which are proposed to be notified on 25 January 2018. Many relief measures regarding GST rates on goods and services covering many sectors and commodities were recommended by GST council today.

The Council has also recommended issuance of certain clarifications on issues relating to GST rates and taxability of certain goods and services.
