The Constitution (One Hundred and Twenty-Second Amendment) Bill, 2014 was passed in Lok sabha on
6 May, 2015. This further paved the way for an introduction of GST in India.
The bill was passed with two-third majority – 352 Lok Sabha MPs voted in favour and 37 members against it.
