What to do when consignee refuses to accept the goods

Question – It might happen that the consignee refuses to accept the goods due to quality or any other reason. In such case what option is available with the transporter?

Answer  – If the consignee refuses to accept the goods from transporter due to quality or any other reason, then under such circumstances, the transporter can get the separate E-way bill generated by the supplier or recipient indicating the supply to be “Sales Return”. This way, by declaring the transportation of goods as sales return, the goods can be delivered back to the supplier.
